What gets me out of bed in the morning:

Making the working lives of people better through Organisational Health because better places to work means better-performing businesses. I focus on improving the 5 areas that make the biggest difference: Leadership, Teamwork, Culture, Structure and Strategy. I have a passion for supporting the development of organisations by focusing on how people and teams drive performance. Helping to develop clarity within organisations and teams results in better-performing businesses.

Pain points I reduce/eliminate for SME manufacturers:

  • SME businesses can be limited in their ability to grow and perform to their potential. These issues can be overcome by working through the options required to drive long-term organisational success:
  • What organisational structures are required?
  • How do different leadership styles drive individual ownership, initiative and accountability?
  • Is the organisational culture appropriate and how to develop effective teamwork and learning?
  • I quickly see the pain points that hold back organisational growth and am able to put that into language that others can understand. I have the experience to clarify what is required and how to resolve these blockages.

Great outcomes I have achieved and continue to improve upon:

  • I have 9-years’ experience running manufacturing SMEs and achieved a total cultural turnaround resulting in double-digit levels of growth and dramatic improvements in productivity and employee engagement.
  • I have 9-years’ experience in delivering cultural and business performance improvement for other organisations. Experience in changing dysfunctional teams into high-performing teams – teams that are able to drive business performance turnaround, growth and improvement.
  • I can understand, and explain to others in a language they are able to understand, the activities, tools and techniques required to deliver effective change. I use real-world experiences, I have my own tools, and able to clarify and apply concepts from renowned business leaders and speakers.

How I get involved and my style of support when working with others:

Openness is important to me. I like to engage with and develop high levels of trust with the people I work with at all levels within an organisation. Using the experience of varying leadership styles and techniques, I promote the leadership from within model rather than the know-all/tell-all model as this develops ownership, initiative and the leaders of tomorrow. I facilitate change and progress at a pace that others can accommodate by allowing them to understand the impact of their behaviours.

What makes me unique? My personal differentiators:

Breadth & depth of experience

Led a 50-person SME and can communicate with SME leaders in a peer-to-peer style. Have delivered organisational/cultural turnaround and use examples and practical solutions how to achieve it in other organisations.

Learner/Communicator

Able to reflect on experiences and extract lessons from over 30-years of manufacturing change management. Able to communicate to others and explain the relative merits of different styles and actions to enable true learning.

People Focused

I am convinced that it is people who drive successful organisations. People should be the most important focus of any organisation because it the people who look after the customers.

Blended Coaching/Mentoring

The best learning experiences come from a blended approach of both coaching and mentoring. I balance the needs of business leaders with both coaching and mentoring in order to achieve successful learning and ensure personal development and ownership in those I work with.
